June Marie (Holley) Scheller, 84, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away April 6, 2013. She was born to Tige and Chris (Callison) Henderson on March 9, 1929.

June was married June 19, 1948, in Odessa, Texas, to Leon Holley. They raised their only son in Odessa while she worked as an office manager for a local doctor. They retired to Kingsland in the mid-80s, and Leon preceded her in death in the early ’90s.

She married Louis W. Scheller in Las Vegas on Jan. 19, 1995, and shared 18 years with him.

June was a member and past president of Lambda Nu Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International and a volunteer with the Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce, and delivered Meals-on-Wheels, worked with AquaBoom and helped out at the women’s shelter in Marble Falls.

She enjoyed shopping for clothes and never threw anything away. She loved to go on Princess Cruises with Louis where she was a platinum member and enjoyed the trips through the Panama Canal and Alaska.

June is survived by her husband Louis Scheller of Kingsland; son, Gary T. Holley and wife Mel B. of Edmond, Okla.; granddaughter, Mandi A. Holley of Austin; grandsons, Ryan T. Holley of Austin and Canyon T. Holley of Edmond, Okla.; sister, Dorothy Yarbrough of Horseshoe Bay; stepdaughters, Sandra York and husband Jerry of Canton and Billye Purnell and husband Howard of Houston.

In addition to her husband Leon, she was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Visitation was April 8 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is 2 p.m. April 9 at the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Conaway officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet on Park Road 4.
