50-year-old Marble Falls woman dies in FM 2147 rollover

MARBLE FALLS — A 50-year-old woman died after a March 13 rollover accident on FM 2147 about a mile southeast of U.S. 281, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Gayle Reynolds Bales of Marble Falls was pronounced dead at 11:24 a.m. later the same day at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin.
Bales was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck westbound when she “left the roadway to the right, overcorrected to the left and rolled the vehicle over in the middle of the road,” the DPS report stated. The rollover was reported about 7:45 a.m.
Bales was not wearing a seat belt.
Her body was transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of the rollover is under investigation, official said.
