Buddies convenience store breaks ground in Kingsland

Kingsland residents and drivers can look forward to a new Buddies convenience store opening at the corner of RR 1431 and RR 2900 this summer as owners and operators Alva Timmons (left), Derek Timmons, Brian Maples and Nancy Maples break ground on the facility. The 6,600-square-foot store will feature 10 fuel pumps plus a high-speed diesel dispenser, a franchise chicken restaurant, another food-service business and branded fuel. Customers also will enjoy drive-through service that includes everything the store sells, the owners say. Staff photo by Daniel Clifton
