OBITUARY: David Rainey, 54, of Kingsland was Army veteran

David Rainey, 54, of Kingsland passed away March 2, 2013. He was born to James Eugene and Betty (Burt) Rainey on July 29, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his discharge in 1984, he became a sign maker. In his spare time, he enjoyed working and playing cards and slots in game rooms.

David is survived by sons, Shawn Rainey of Kingsland and Daniel E. Rainey of Salem, Ore.; mother, Betty Northam of Kingsland; half-brother, Chris Northam of Marble Falls; and sister, Nan Munce of Marble Falls; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service is 11 a.m. March 12 at Calvary Hill Church in Kingsland with the Rev. Zane Lewis and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard officiating.
