Strong winds blasted through the Highland Lakes on Feb. 25, damaging some property, including the roof on the back deck of On the Rocks Restaurants, 4401 Cottonwood Drive in Cottonwood Shores. Wind gusts reported up to 45 mph downed tree branches and power lines, sparking intermittent power problems.

Wind gusts took their toll on a business sign at a strip mall in the 100 block of U.S. 281 in Marble Falls.

Broken and split tree branches littered city neighborhoods, including a few properties off RR 1431 on Avenue D in Marble Falls after winds ripped through the city Feb. 25. Residents reported minor wind damage across the Highland Lakes.
