MARBLE FALLS — A 28-year-old man is improving after a single-vehicle crash Feb. 17 on RR 1431, just east of Manzano Mile, sent him to a Round Rock hospital.
Michael Whitman, the driver of a 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck, was first listed in critical condition after a crash reported at 2:22 a.m. just outside the Marble Falls city limits, according to Texas Department of Public Safety.
The report stated the vehicle “was traveling at an unsafe speed” when the driver left the roadway heading east, overcorrected and crashed into a tree. He was wearing a seat belt.
The driver was airlifted to St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock.
Officials said Whitman was listed in stable condition a day after the accident.
