Marble Falls boys soccer team loses 4-1 to Vista Ridge
FROM STAFF REPORTS
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School boys soccer team lost 4-1 to Cedar Park Vista Ridge on Feb. 19.
The Mustangs trailed 2-0 at the half.
Marble Falls head coach Michael Nave said his players weren’t mentally ready to play when the game began.
“Lack of focus,” he said. “You could see it in the warmup.”
He was pleased with the way the Mustangs played the opening 10 minutes of the contest.
“We had them on their heels, but we couldn’t sustain that,” Nave said. “I’m not totally sure why.”
In addition, the Rangers ignored one side of the field and Marble Falls didn’t take advantage, Nave said.
TOP PLAYERS: Danny Osornio scores a goal assisted by Jesse Arreguin, who made his varsity debut.
