OBITUARY: James Lyle Moore, 91, of Kingsland enjoyed riding his motorcycle

James Lyle Moore, 91, of Kingsland passed away Jan. 21, 2013. He was born to Oliver Oscar and Bernice (Brewer) Moore on Nov. 21, 1921, in Burkburnett, Texas.

James worked at various jobs during his lifetime. He was a lumberman and a rancher and constructed planes during World War II. He was a member of the Hell’s Angels and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, hunting and fishing and, especially, riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Ben Rodriguez of Marble Falls; son Denton Foster of Cottonwood, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Genevieve Lowry of Santa Barbara, Calif.

James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha (Odell) Moore in 1982; and son Ronald Moore in 1993.

A celebration of life service is 2 p.m. Jan. 28 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008, with Bishop Fred DeBusk officiating. A private inurnment will be held in Muleshoe.
