BURNET — Two teen girls were taken to the hospital Jan. 3 after the 2008 Porsche in which they were riding crashed into a tree off Park Road 4, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety report.
Tiffany Brooke Tubb, 17, of Dallas was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin shortly after the accident that was reported at 7:35 p.m. Information about her condition is pending.
The passenger, 18-year-old Katia Gonzalez, was taken to Seton Highland Lakes in Burnet.
According to the DPS report, Tubb was driving the car, which left the roadway near the intersection of Lost Mountain Road, about 5 miles southwest of Burnet.
“(The car) drove partially off the road to the right and overcorrected back to the left,” according to the report. “(The car) rolled right side first, struck a tree during the roll and landed on its wheels.”
The occupants were wearing seat belts. Investigators concluded that contributing factors included the Porsche traveling at “an unsafe speed.”
