Ethel Dale Utzman

Ethel Dale Utzman, 95, of Llano, Texas, and formerly of Brownwood, passed away Dec. 25, 2012. She was born June 18, 1917, to Willie Archie (Fuller) and James Hardy DeHay in Brownwood.

Dale married Leslie Peyton Utzman on Feb. 10, 1939, in Brownwood. He preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a sister and four brothers.

Dale had many talents; she ran a worm farm and made her own clothing. She also enjoyed going to the Lantex Theatre and canning. Dale always enjoyed doing for others and was an exceptional wife and mother.

Survivors include her son, Roy Utzman of Llano, and many friends.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Dec. 27 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A graveside service is 2 p.m. Dec. 28 at Indian Creek Cemetery in Brownwood with the Rev. Jerald Moore officiating.
