Burnet, Brownwood coaches share more than just a Friday night matchup

BURNET — Bob Shipley, a 1979 graduate of Burnet High School, isn’t the only one who can sing his alma mater’s school song before the start of his Brownwood Lions’ District 8-3A game against Burnet on Oct. 12.

Burnet head football coach Kurt Jones, who was “born and raised, grew up and graduated” from Brownwood in 1990, can recite the words to the Brownwood school song, too.
