Burnet comes back for dramatic homecoming win

BURNET — The Burnet High School football team snapped its two-game losing skid with a dramatic 37-31 homecoming win against Canyon Lake on Sept. 21.

Headed into the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs (2-2) faced a 31-17 deficit, but a heavy dose of junior running back Trenton Hafley and some timely defensive stops propelled Burnet to 20 unanswered points.
