Alice Ann Menefee

Alice Ann Menefee, 61, died July 16, 2012, at Seton Hospital in Austin after losing her battle against breast cancer. She was born in Texas City on May 14, 1951, to Lorris W. and Gloria M Williams.
She married her high school sweetheart, John W. Menefee, and spent the next 43 years of her life with her best friend and lover. Together they had one daughter, Melissa D Hallett.
She was known for her infectious smile, laugh and kind heart. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and a friend to many.
She worked for years as a purchasing agent in the oil and gas industry. In 2010, she and her husband moved to their retirement dream home in Sunrise Beach, where they enjoyed life on Lake LBJ.
Many supported her and loved her during her fight for life including her loyal friend and cousin, Charlotte Cox, and best friend, Cheryl Smith. Though she will be missed, she is no longer suffering and is in the presence of her loving Lord.
In addition to her husband, survivors include daughter Melissa Hallett and husband Jeff of Fort Collins, Colo.; granddaughters Bailey Bodine and Ashton Hallett; grandsons Ryan Bodine, Jacob Hallett, Luke Bodine and Jayden Hallett; sisters Brenda Allen and husband Gene of San Antonio, Laurel Rice of Lexington, Ky., and Melonie Menefee and husband Carl of Buffalo, Texas; niece Heather Engebretson; and nephews Jared Reardon, C.J. Menefee and Colby Menefee.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. July 19 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A funeral service is 11 a.m. July 20 at the funeral home with viewing and visitation at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunrise Beach Cemetery.
