Aaron B. Daugherty, 86, of Cleburne, and formerly of Burnet, died June 26, 2012. He was born in Burnet on March 28, 1926, to Aaron and Leva Mae Daugherty.
He married Venida Rambo on July 23, 1947.
He served in World War II in Germany. After returning home, he began his career in construction, traveling across the country. After retiring, he returned to Burnet and to the house in which he was born.
He served as a Burnet City Council member and was also a deacon for his church.
He was a man of love, respect, honor and values. His life was filled with a wonderful family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, survivors include daughter Pamela Daugherty of Cleburne; grandchildren Chris and Sara Roberts and Jessie and Sondra Roberts, all of Burleson, and Rene and Colby Harlow of Cleburne; and great-grandchildren Zachary Harlow, Aaron B. Harlow, Gavin Roberts and Levi Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and daughter Phyllis Daugherty.
A service is 10 a.m. June 28 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. Burial will be in Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
