Marble Falls youth baseball team wins Sandlot Tournament

BUDA — The Marble Falls Mustangs (10-and-under) all-stars won the Sandlot Tournament at the Hays Youth Complex on June 15-17, sweeping all three of their games.

Marble Falls beat the Oak Hill Vipers 12-4 and the Boerne Greyhounds 7-6 and 16-5.

Pitcher Hunter Rogers pitched three innings against the Vipers and went the distance against the Greyhounds in the first game.

Marble Falls played the Greyhounds a second time because they won the loser’s bracket to face the Mustangs again.

Marble Falls will play in the PONY district tournament June 23-24 in Buda. The Mustangs face the Hays Outlaws at 9 a.m. June 23. The top four teams advance to sectionals in Hays.
