Brownie Thompson, 86, a lifelong resident of Burnet County, died June 4, 2012. She was born on Dec. 25, 1925, to Wayne and Pearl Glimp.

She was a retired meat cutter, baker and clerk.

Survivors include son Johnnie Thompson and wife Robben of Meadowlakes; daughter Beverly Anderson of Marble Falls; grandchildren Chrystal Whiteside and husband Wade, Michael Anderson and wife Gena, Donald Thompson Jr. and Layne Thompson; and great-grandchildren Braidon Whiteside, Haylee Whiteside, Jocelyn Anderson and Luke Anderson.

She was preceded in death by husband Bert Thompson; sons Greg Thompson and Donald Wayne Thompson Sr.; and her parents.

A visitation is 5-7 p.m. June 8 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. Her wish was to be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highland Lakes Christmas Is For Kids Toy Drive, Box 1750, Marble Falls, TX 78654, or the Helping Center, Box 402, Marble Falls, TX 78654.
