Burnet comes up short in state-qualifying 7-on-7 tournament
GATESVILLE — The Burnet High School 7-on-7 football team was one win away from qualifying for the state tournament May 26.
The Bulldogs went 3-1 at the Gatesville High School qualifying tournament for Classes 1A, 2A and 3A, losing to the host school 34-28 in the closing seconds of the contest.
