Glenn Lewis, 64, of Llano died May 1, 2012. He was born in Spicewood on June 21, 1947, to Robert Gordon and Amanda (Purcell) Lewis.

He married Jeanette Jones on Jan. 17, 1980, in Llano.

He moved to Llano in 1988 from Marble Falls and was a ranch foreman, among other things, for Moursund Arrowhead Ranches. He also was a member of the Cattle Raisers Association and Quarter Horse Association. In his earlier years, he was a ranch hand and cowboy in South Texas.

Survivors include son Codey Lewis of Llano; those he considered his own, Shauna Thompson of Glen Rose and Chris Wright of Llano County; brother Gerald Lewis and wife Barbara of Marble Falls; sister Betty Derbew and husband Bob of Marble Falls; grandchildren Courtney, Clara and Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and  friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Feb. 9, 2012; parents; and sister Wanell Haydon.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. May 4 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A graveside service is 11 a.m. May 5 at the Honey Creek Cemetery in Llano with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be his many friends.
