Faith Academy players get a taste of 11-man football

MARBLE FALLS — Though 10 spring football practices might seem like a small number, Faith Academy head coach Russ Roberts said it was just enough.

That’s because the Flames also were participating in track and field with several athletes competing in the regional meet April 27-28, the state tennis tournament and the regional golf tournament.

But since the Flames are making the jump from six-man football to 11-man, Roberts thought spring football drills were crucial to many of the athletes who might not have played 11-man since they participated in youth football or who never played it at all.
