Marble Falls Powder Puff game is May 15
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School Powder Puff game is 5 p.m. May 15 at Pony Stadium, 1511 Pony Circle Drive.
The reason for the change in venue is because the Marble Falls High School football team will conduct spring football practice at Mustang Stadium the same afternoon.
In addition, the early kickoff is because Principal Eric Penrod wants the game finished by 6 p.m. to allow students to be rested for State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, which will be conducted May 14-17.
The football game is between junior and senior girls and helps raise money for the Casey Rice Memorial Scholarship.
Because of STAAR testing, teacher and organizer Chuck Woods said the Tuff Enuff game played between the senior boys and the male faculty and staff members has been cancelled.
