Lady Dawgs score three runs in final inning in loss
BURNET — Down to their last out, the Burnet High School softball team responded April 5, but it wasn’t enough for a win.
The Lady Dawgs (15-8, 3-3) trailed 4-0 headed into the last inning. Lampasas got two outs, but Burnet’s Allison Eaton recorded an RBI single and Shelby Wilson added a two RBI double.
The Badgers (4-2) forced the Lady Dawgs to strand the tying run and escape with a 4-3 victory.
Burnet will travel to Salado High School, 1880 Williams Road in Salado, 7 p.m. April 10.
