CEDAR PARK — When the Marble Falls High School softball team recorded its final out against Cedar Park Vista Ridge March 5 for a 6-2 win, it earned its most significant district win in years.

The Lady Mustangs (11-5, 2-0) have come close to beating District 25-4A powerhouse teams, such as Dripping Springs —  but couldn’t get the win.

That wasn’t the case March 5 against the Lady Rangers, which was the first time Marble Falls has beaten them since they returned to Class 4A in 2009.
