Lady Mustangs beat Burnet with solid pitching, hitting
MARBLE FALLS — An unexpected week off didn’t bother the Marble Falls High School softball team.
The Lady Mustangs’ Barbecue Classic was rained out Feb. 17-18, but the team returned to action Feb. 21 with a 8-3 win against Burnet.
Marble Falls (2-0) scored eight runs, five earned, off 13 hits led by sophomore pitcher Amanda Thomas (1-0) who helped her own cause by going 3 of 4 at the plate.
