Lady Dawgs softball team beats Leander Rouse
BURNET — The Burnet High School softball team got a 4-2 win against Leander Rouse Feb. 14.
The Lady Dawgs (1-0) scored a run in the first and second innings and two more in the seventh.
The Lady Raiders (0-1) scored both of their runs in the final inning.
Lady Dawgs senior Allison Eaton had two RBIs off a double and a single and scored a run. Senior pitcher Kristen Spinn added an RBI double.
Taylor Baker reached on a single and scored a run, while Samantha Lawrence and Kayla Glover each scored a run.
Spinn (1-0) earned the win with five strikeouts, two walks, five hits allowed and no earned runs.
The Lady Dawgs play at Marble Falls 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at Scearce Field, 2101 Mustang Drive.
