Mustangs defeat Salado, lose close match to Ellison

MARBLE FALLS — After being shut out in its season opener, the Marble Falls High School boys soccer team took out all its frustration on Salado, winning 4-0 in its own Winter Classic on Jan. 13.
The Mustangs (1-1) bounced back from a 1-0 setback to Killeen Ellison earlier in the day.
Sophomore Devin Tharp scored Marble Falls’ first goal of the season off an assist from freshman Luis Ortiz on a crossing pass to the middle of the box with 17 minutes 49 seconds left in the first half.
The Mustangs scored their other three goals in the opening six minutes of the second half.
