Wesley Coleman Haney

Wesley Coleman Haney, 86, died Dec. 30, 2011. He was born in Healdton, Okla., April 5, 1925, to Coleman Bailey Haney and Nell Logan Haney.
He grew up in Pampa attending school there until he was called to the Navy his senior year. He served in Hawaii for two years.
After being discharged, he received his diploma from Pampa High School and went to work for Humble Oil and Refining Co., retiring with Exxon after 38 years.
He was a Christian serving as a deacon in Kilgore, a Bible teacher, a pilot and loved to travel.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen Wilson Haney; daughter Suzzanne Haney; granddaughters Logan Skoog and Blake Skoog; brother Marvin Haney and wife Reba of Wren, Miss.; sisters-in-law Mary Evelyn Killian and Marilyn Wilson, both of Vernon, and Jerri Jeffres of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother Katie Haney; son David; and sister Etta Haney Roman,
A visitation is 6-8 p.m. Jan. 2 at Edgar Funeral Home, 2105 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-5808.
A funeral service is 11 a.m. Jan. 3 at the Church of Christ, 711 Broadway in Marble Falls.
Interment follows at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
