Vallie Marie Blevins Terrell, 80, died Dec. 29, 2011. She was born in Fox, Okla., on Sept. 26, 1931. She celebrated her 61st wedding anniversary with her husband Billy Roy Terrell on Christmas Eve.

Her hobbies included golfing, fishing, oil painting and sewing. She also was very involved with genealogical research.

She was a long-time member of the Kingsland Genealogical Society, Order of the Eastern Star and was an organizing member of the Llano Uplift Chapter-National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

In addition to her husband, survivors include daughters Susan Lea Terrell Owens and husband Michael of Copperas Cove, and Patricia Lynn Terrell Chimene and husband J.B. of Austin; daughter-In-law Sharon Terrell of Highlands; grandchildren Shaunda Terrell, Michelle Terrell, David “Andy” Terrell and wife Karen, Steven Terrell, Jonathan Owens and wife Crystal, Vallie Owens Cameron and husband Jeremy, G.G. Chimene, Zachary Chimene and Coby Chimene; seven great-grandchildren; brother Buck Blevins and wife Nancy of Chandler; sister Johnie Sue and husband J.R. Chumley of Purcell, Okla.; brother-in-law Walter Terrell and wife JoAnne of Norman, Okla.; and sister-in-law Ila Mae Terrell of Norman, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents Otis “Hap” and Elva Blevins of Lindsay, Okla.; three brothers; and her only son, Michael Roy Terrell.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. Jan. 3 at First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet Drive in Marble Falls, with a short reception to follow.

Interment will be in Elmore City, Okla., on Jan. 5.
