Carmen Kizer Alexander, 98, of Tow died Dec. 30, 2011. She was born Sept. 20, 1913, to William Kizer and Margaret Artelia (Crabb) Kizer in Hollis, Okla.

She married William Andrew Alexander in the 1930s in Hollis. Then they moved to Tow in 1935, where she was loved by the community.

She also was a member of the Tow Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons Max Alexander and Jerry and wife Roxie Alexander, all of Tow, and Monty “Dick” Alexander of Castell; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents William and Margaret Kizer; son Larry Alexander; and grandson Kenneth Dale Alexander.

A funeral service was Jan. 2 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Clayton Arnold officiating.

Burial followed at Tow Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Nick Alexander, Brian Alexander, Gary Johnson, Ronnie Alexander, Greg Bourland, Mike Landry, Ray Carr and Ken Milam.
