Jessie M. Ellett
Jessie M. Ellett, 71, of Burnet died Dec. 18, 2011, in Round Rock. She was born in Burnet on July 13, 1940, to Herschel and Opal Estepp Ellett.
She was proud of serving in the Texas State Guard and was retired from the Texas Child Protective Services in Austin.
Survivors include her daughter Joy and husband Bernard Purdy of Round Rock; sons Jerry Wayne Ross of Burnet and Herschel and wife Lisa Cone of Lockhart; brother John Ellett of Burnet; grandchildren Jerry James Ross, Melissa Ann Ross, Chelsea Lee Ross, Robyn Purdy, Nathaniel Purdy, Benjamin Purdy, Sebastien Purdy, Quintin Purdy, Haley Cone and Laney Cone; great-grandchild Hayden Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Jerry Dee Ellett Shorten.
A graveside service and interment is 10 a.m. Dec. 21 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Bertram with Tim Denton officiating.
