Flames hope to get out of ‘the cellar’ against Lutheran
MARBLE FALLS — A three-week drought has the Faith Academy football team thirsty for a victory.
If the Flames (3-3, 0-1) can get a win Oct. 14, they will end a two-game losing streak.
In addition, a victory means Faith will keep its undefeated mark while playing at Marble Falls and remain in the playoff hunt.
An improved San Antonio Lutheran (2-4, 0-1) team, however, stands in the way. The game is 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at Pony Stadium on the Marble Falls Middle School campus, 1511 Pony Circle Drive.
Both squads enter the contest after district-opening losses to squads expected to be playoff contenders. The Flames lost to Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills while Lutheran lost to defending state champion Bulverde Bracken.
