Llano 7th-grade teams play Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG — The Llano Middle School seventh-grade black football team played Fredericksburg to a 14-14 tie recently.
The black team (1-1-1) scored on the second play when Stephen Sanderson rushed 65 yards for the score. Sanderson also ran in the two-point conversion for the early 8-0 lead.
Fredericksburg punted on both of its first-half possessions. The Daubers lost a fumble on their second possession, and the third series was cut short because of halftime.
The second half was dominated by the offenses of each team.
The Billies had two possessions and the Daubers one, and all resulted in points.
Fredericksburg took the second half kick and drove 70 yards for a score. The touchdown came on the first play of the fourth quarter, which tied the score 8-8.
