Marble Falls 7th-grade A football team beats Lampasas
LAMPASAS — The Marble Falls Middle School seventh-grade A football team defeated Lampasas 14-6 on Sept. 22.
Running back Davin Manning scored both touchdowns from 87 and 4 yards and also a two-point run.
The game was tied at 6 at the half before Manning scored his 4-yard touchdown.
Outstanding defenders stopping the potent Badger running game were defensive linemen Michael Hall, Roman Ruiz, Jon Wilson and Ryan Dewey; linebackers Preston Richardson, Elijah Duffer, Cade Cool, Mateo Marichalar and
Manning; and defensive backs Sam Harkins, James Garrison, Weston Shultz and Skiler Sallas.
Outstanding players on offense included linemen Jon Bryer, Ruiz, Aaron Kohutek, John Winn, Michael Hall and Dawson Atwood; backs and receivers Ryan Rogers, Harkins, Shultz and Manning and quaterbacks Heath Dooley and Cool.
The next contest is a home game against Pflugerville Kelly Lane at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at Pony Stadium, 1511 Pony Circle Drive.
