Dennis Watkin
Dennis Watkin, 85, of Leander and formerly of Granite Shoals, died Sept. 21, 2011. Born May 6, 1926 in Morley Leeds, England, he was the son of Gordon and Rose Hannah (Murdock) Watkin.
He served in the AFG Army in England. He also worked as a greeter for Walmart for several years.
Survivors include his stepdaughters Cindy Jenks and husband John of Leander and Cheryl Keinitz of Michigan; daughters Valerie Bell, Anna Watkin, Carol Watkin and Dortha Creek of Leeds, England; son Shaun Watkin of Leeds, England; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dortha in 2009.
A funeral service was Sept. 25 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373, with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating.
Interment is 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
