MARBLE FALLS — The Burnet High School junior varsity got a good look at what might have been Sept. 8 as Marble Falls sophomore fullback Keith Jerome ran over, through and around the Bulldog defense.

Finishing the night with more than 100 yards rushing and one touchdown, Jerome provided the difference in turning a tight ballgame in the first half into a dominating 26-6 Mustang victory in the second half.

The Marble Falls fullback had touchdown runs of 71 and 25 yards wiped out because of Mustang penalties. The Mustangs also had another long touchdown run nullified by a holding call.

The Mustangs started fast, scoring the first time they had the ball. With the ball at the Burnet 41 on first down, sophomore quarterback Austin Ellis set the tone with a 10-yard run that was followed by a 23-yard scamper by sophomore athlete Aidin Parnell.
