BANDERA — The Llano Middle School seventh-grade football teams outscored Bandera in scrimmages Sept. 8.

The Daubers black team outscored Bandera 2-1. The Daubers began on defense and allowed the Bullpups to score on their first drive.

The Daubers scored on both of their offensive series. Stephen Sanderson scored on a 70-yard touchdown to begin the season. Jacob Dodson, Neil Blackmon, Evan Wheeler, Taylor Smith and Max Glover provided good blocks up front.

Quarterback Jaden Napolez was flushed from the pocket and found Sanderson for a 65-yard touchdown pass.

The Daubers made some adjustments and kept the Bullpups from scoring on their second possession of 15 plays.

Andrew Reeder intercepted a Bandera pass, and Christian Martinez was noted for his outstanding pressure and for repeatedly getting into the Bullpups’ backfield.
