Thelma Carolyn Brunett, 95, of Buchanan Dam died Sept. 11, 2011, at the Oaks Nursing Home in Burnet. She was born in San Antonio April 5, 1916, to Ollie and Carrie Stevens.

She married William Lehr Jr. for a time and had a son. Later in life she married Edward Brunett, who preceded her in death in 2006.

She worked at Fort Sam Houston and later at USAA as a claims analyst in San Antonio. After moving to the lake, she became the assistant to the Llano County Attorney’s Office for several years.

She loved boating, swimming and camping at Lake Buchanan. After retiring, she and her husband moved to their lakefront home and enjoyed many years with her little dog Mighty.

Survivors include son William Lehr III and wife Georgia Lehr of Marble Falls; and grandchildren William Lehr IV of Kingsland and Cynthia Lehr of Marble Falls.

A graveside service is 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4 in Burnet, with Pete Christy officiating.
