SWAT to take the field July 20 at national tourney

MARBLE FALLS — The SWAT softball team is guaranteed five games at the South National Tournament that begins July 20.

SWAT, an 8-and-under team that’s a member of the Marble Falls Youth Baseball and Softball Association, will face the Harlingen Evolution at 8 a.m. and the Ville Platte All-Stars at 3 p.m. SWAT’s final pool game is against Rip 03 at 10:20 a.m. July 21.

All games will be at the Old Settler’s Park Complex behind Round Rock’s Dell Diamond.

Manager John Hamilton said qualifying for a national tournament is rare.
