Martha D. Gibson, 83, died April 22, 2011, in the Comanche County Hospital in Dublin, Texas. She was born May 8, 1927, in Burnet to Jerry L. Pilgrim and Alma Addie Crenshaw.

She married Lewis Frederick Gibson Feb. 14, 1946, in Burnet. They had five children.

She was a home-health caregiver. She belonged to the First Christian Church and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Texas Longhorns.

Survivors include daughters Janice Ake of of Dublin, and Yvonne Gillum and husband Billy of Giddings; sons Wayne Gibson and wife Gaye of Mount Pleasant and Greg Gibson and wife Jennifer of Dublin; grandchildren Kimberly Gillum and fiance John Matejcek of Giddings, Amanda Gillum of The Woodlands, Cody Ake and fiance’ Chelsea Acker, Crystal Gibson, Jessica Moore, Alan Gibson and Jaclyn Gibson, all of Dublin, Mitchell Gibson of Mount Pleasant, Rachel Gillum of Lincoln and Colton Gibson of Mount Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 19, 1993; son Lewis Dean Gibson in 1949; and granddaughter Laura Ashton Gillum July 1, 1986.

Visitation was April 25 at Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin. A service was April 26 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gerald Freeman officiating.

Burial followed that afternoon in the Marble Falls City Cemetery in Marble Falls.
