LaVera Hyman Cearley
LaVera Hyman Cearley, 71, of Burnet died April 5, 2011. She was born Aug. 8, 1939, to Lewis and Opal (Taylor) Hyman.
She was a retired beautician and enjoyed traveling with her husband Vic. They were married Aug. 17, 1974, in Burnet. She liked to crochet and knit, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Charles Victor “Vic” Cearley; sons Gary Allen and wife Cheryl of Bertram and Kenneth Allen and wife Lori of Burnet; daughter Ann Cox and husband Jesse of Brady; brother Hubert Hyman and wife Dorothy of Liberty Hill; sisters Maxciene Hyman Veronie of Burnet and Sharon Hyman Montgomery and husband Charles of Florence; six granddaughters; six grandsons; two great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Douglas Lewis and William Lee Hyman; daughter Theressa Allen Perkins; and grandchildren Casondra Schwalm and Lewis Allen.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. April 7 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
A service is 11 a.m. April 8 at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Burnet City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tyler Montgomery, Tristen Montgomery, Doug Montgomery, DeWayne Montgomery, Kenneth Allen Jr. and Shane Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Perkins, Jessie Perkins, Lou Bell and Larry Christopher Holcomb.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Seton Highland Lakes Hospice.
