Robert E. “Bob” Stacks, 66, of Marble Falls died March 13, 2011. He was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on April 11, 1944, to Clif and Mae Stacks.

He served 13 years in the Navy and was a general contractor for 20 years in Burnet County. For the past 17 years, he was a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

He will be most remembered for his great, and sometimes warped, sense of humor along with his obsession to always be early.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years Nancy Johnston Stacks; brother Ben Stacks of Highland, Calif.; sister Linda Gammill of Lacey, Wash.; daughters Angel and husband Alan Meador of Garland, Tammy and husband Barry Pryce of San Antonio, and Sara Stacks of Midland; son Sam Stacks and wife Cheryl of Marble Falls; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. March 15 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-222.

A graveside service is 2 p.m. March 16 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Park Road 4 in Burnet.

Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Meador, Barry Pryce II, Strait Stacks, Cobey Lusinger, Tommy Long, Jimmy Green, Cody Bristow, Jerry Newton, Bub Lastly, Raymond Hall and Rex Lastly.
