Depth makes Lady Stangs compete for spots More players forces vets to work, coach says New district still means opponents will be solid
MARBLE FALLS — A new chapter in Marble Falls High School softball will begin Tuesday when the Lady Mustangs throw the first pitch of the 2011 season at Taylor.
Though Peyton Peril is back, new head coach Tino Salazar said she is not part of his pitching staff, which includes freshmen Amanda Thomas and Skylar Riley, sophomore Alicia Macias and junior Taylor Koska.
And that’s because Marble Falls will have depth in almost every position, which is a luxury the program hasn’t enjoyed in a while.
