PEC offers high school scholarships to seniors
JOHNSON CITY — The Pedernales Electric Cooperative plans to offer scholarships to high school seniors in its service area.
This spring, PEC will provide $1,000 scholarships to 50 graduating seniors for any accredited college, junior college, university, trade or technical school.
Each recipient’s parents or legal guardians must be PEC members, officials said.
The PEC Scholarship Committee judges will select recipients based on an application, academic performance, test results, financial need, motivation and character.
Recipients will be announced during spring, officials said.
Scholarship applications are available at www.pec.coop, local high school counselors and PEC offices.
Applications must be received by e-mail, postmarked or turned in to any PEC office by March 1.
