Howard Allen Molzan, 91, died gently in his sleep Nov. 10, 2010.

He lived most of his life near Cleveland. He was born July 16, 1919; married Margaret Catherine Humpal in 1942; and they later raised their two daughters in Maple Heights, Ohio.

He enjoyed his job and co-workers at NASA’s Lewis Research Center in Ohio where, for almost 30 years, he fabricated experimental models for the early space program.

He was creative, liked building and fixing things, loved sharing the outdoors with his family and dogs by hiking, camping and capturing scenes with his camera. His last sojourn to Texas was poignant with old age creeping in, but he loved drives through the Hill Country and seeing the cattle and the deer.

He experienced true Texas hospitality from the wonderful people who worked at the Mason Care Center and later Llano’s Hill Country Health Care Center.

In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters Janice and husband Carl Schmidt of Alliance, Ohio; and Donna and husband Pete Hunt of Art; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister Evelyn Vitt of Cleveland.

Funeral arrangements are by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes Inc., 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (388) 247-4300.
