Eva Mae Cagley

Eva Mae Cagley, 85, of Kingsland, died Oct. 15, 2010. She was born to Frank and Annie (Rodriguez) Poskey May 14, 1925, in Nacogdoches County.
She was raised on a farm in East Texas and moved to Fort Worth at 21, where she married David Joseph Cagley June 27, 1947, in Weatherford.
She worked for the aircraft plant while he served in Korea. Her house and kitchen were very organized. Everything had a place. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. “Granny Can I” was a favorite name bestowed by her granddaughter.
After retirement, the couple began attending U.S.S. Radford reunions. They traveled from coast to coast and border to border to the reunions, expanding their family to include her husband’s shipmates.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of Kingsland; daughter Carolyn Fobes and husband Tony of North Richland Hills; granddaughter Natalie Tull and husband Oliver of Fort Worth; brother Pat Poskey and wife Ruth of Arlington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brother Franklin; and sisters Frances Bunnell, Rosa Montes and Alice Barnes.
A visitation is 6-8 p.m. Oct. 22 at Putnam Funeral & Crematory, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
A funeral service is 10 a.m. Oct. 23 at the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County.
