Malcom Ray Osbourn, 67, of Valley Spring died Sept. 30, 2010. He was born Sept. 24, 1943, to Clytie (Larremore) and Clarence Osbourn in Llano County.

He was an avid rancher in Llano County, raising quality show cattle until his death. He was on the Texas A&M University livestock judging team as a student.

He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren, and he enjoyed watching them show their livestock projects. He taught his family the importance of living a good Christian life and hard work.

He instilled in them his passion for the agricultural industry.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Botard Osbourn of Valley Spring; children Courtney Osbourn Edwards and husband Mac of Paradise, Kayla Osbourn Magadance and husband Tom of Spring Branch, and Collin Osbourn and wife Ashley of Mason; grandchildren Ray and Ross Edwards of Paradise and Ingrid and Landon Magadance of Spring Branch; brothers Carrol Osbourn of Valley Spring and Donald Osbourn and wife Debbie of Clarksville; sisters LaWanda Osbourn Menzies and husband Duery of Fredericksburg; and Glynn Dell Osbourn Glasscock and husband Tom of Valley Spring; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Jackie Minica Osbourn of Valley Spring.

A funeral service was Oct. 4 at the Waldrope-Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, followed by a graveside service at the Valley Spring Cemetery with Brother Rodney Tedford and Brother Jacob Hawk officiating.

Pallbearers include nephews Jamie, Jeffrey and Jody Osbourn; Joe Don Osbourn, Dusty Menzies, Platt and Riggin Glasscock and Michael, Mitchell and Stephen Bezner.

Memorials may be made to the Malcom Osbourn Memorial Fund in care of Llano County 4-H, the Cherokee Children’s Home or a charity of choice.
