Dr. William George Wilkerson
Dr. William George Wilkerson, 78, of Bluffton died July 18, 2010. He was born Jan. 26, 1932, to Mary (Kallen) and William Henry Wilkerson in Houston. He married his wife Eulene (Maxwell) Aug. 25, 1968, in Austin.
They moved to Bluffton in 1993 after coming from Austin and Lufkin. He was a member of medical societies in Travis, Llano, Angelina and Brown counties.
He also served in the Navy.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters Debra Denise Williams and husband Frank of Illinois, and Evalaine Dell Henry of Idaho; son David Wilkerson and wife Cara of Lufkin; stepdaughter Sherry Parker of Houston; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; sister Anne Bessey; and a very special aunt, Victoria Monroe of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. July 20 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300.
A graveside service is 10 a.m. July 21 at Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating.
