Elsie R. Wittwer
Elsie R. Wittwer, 86, died April 24, 2010. She was born Jan. 28, 1924, to Andrew and Veronica Rethaber in Westhoff.
She married Ernest Wittwer of Merrill, Wis., and they raised two children. She enjoyed her dairy farm, where she also had a garden and an array of berries and other fruits. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominoes, baking and cooking.
Later in life, her family moved to Texas, where she enjoyed her sister’s company.
Survivors include sister Anna Wittwer of Cuero; son Ernest "Jack" Wittwer and his wife Phylis of Cape Coral, Fla.; daughter Linda Laak and husband Joseph of Burnet; grandchildren Tracy, Tammy, Mellissa, Shawn, Sherri and Jeremy; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her special friend Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters Mary, Verona, Caroline and Agusta; and brother Frank.
Private family memorial services will be held at later time.
