Dorman “Bud Williamson
Dorman "Bud" Williamson, 80, died April 20, 2010, at his home in Buchanan Dam. He was born in Eastland Dec. 7, 1929, to S.E. and Thelma L. Hogan Williamson.
He served proudly in the Navy and was later employed as an insulation installer. While he enjoyed hunting and fishing, relatives said his favorite hobby was working.
He is survived by his wife Ida Williamson of Buchanan Dam; daughter Dee Ann Sprulle of San Antonio; step-daughter Linda Kay Rybaski of Kingsland; sister Pearl Lorene Cornell of Chase, Mich.; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son Winndy Bruce Williamson and sister Helen C. Decker.
A Celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Union Church off RR 261 in Buchanan Dam. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet. The Rev. Jerald Moore and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard will officiate.
