Donald Wayne Medlock

Donald Wayne Medlock, 70, of Burnet and formerly of Odessa, died March 9, 2010.

He was born March 31, 1939, in Burnet to John and Dessie Farris Medlock.

He worked for the Jones Brothers Construction Co. for many years.

He loved nature and his blooming plants and flowers. He owned his own nursery for many years after his retirement.

Survivors include his wife Mozelle Hopper of Burnet; stepson Andy Hopper of Odessa; stepdaughter Jadene Whatley of Odessa; grandchildren Destiny Hopper of Mineral Wells and Zackary Lane Hightower of Odessa; sister Willa Dean Wallace of Odessa; and nieces Donna Coleman of Corpus Christi, and Patti Collier and Sharon Larremore, both of Odessa.

A graveside service is 10 a.m. today in Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet, with the Rev. Jimmy Frazier officiating.
