First Baptist Christian School first-grader Karson Cain reads a letter to veterans and their families Tuesday at the Claremont Assisted Living Community in Marble Falls. The 7-year-old said, ‘We wanted to be here today to say thank you to all of the veterans and families of those who served in the military. During the difficult times you probably said, ‘We are doing this for the future.’ My friends and I are the future.  We appreciate the sacrifices you have made for us. Because of you, we can go to a Christian school and are free to worship God. When we are 18 we will be able to vote because of you. We are free to live where we would like and tell others about God because of you. My friends and I are the future and we would like to say thank you.’ Courtesy photo
